Research Assistantships

Athabasca University researchers often hire Research Assistants to help further their academic research.

Researchers wanting to post a Research Assistant opportunity are invited to contact the Research Centre for information on the process.

Duties of a Research Assistant may include:

  • conducting literature reviews
  • assisting with:
    • developing research methodologies and related research instruments
    • preparing and writing reports
    • writing grant proposals
  • collecting, organizing and recording data
  • computing statistics and data analysis
  • preparing materials for ethics review
  • recruiting research participants
  • conducting interviews under established protocols
  • monitoring project budgets
  • participating in research dissemination
