EdTech R&D Collaboration Project
Announcing an exciting new opportunity for small or medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Educational Technologies sector:
Athabasca University invites you to take part in a new venture aimed at increasing the global competitiveness of EdTech companies by supporting both technological development, and the creation of market-based alliances to accelerate the commercialization of educational technologies. It is being carried out with support from the National Research Council, and will strengthen both EdTech SMEs themselves as well as prospective public and private sector users through facilitating product ideation, design, usability, validation, testing, and piloting.
The objectives of this project are to:
- Create a virtual space – an EdTech hub – where you can liaise with other EdTech SMEs , university researchers, independent sector expertise, industry leaders, technology developers, subject matter experts, users, and other stakeholders in educational technologies to help you develop and sell your educational technologies.
- Enhance product marketability and the probability of success, by connecting you to prospective R&D partners (including researchers and grad students/associates at Athabasca University and elsewhere, pilot and validation sites, technology transfer and innovation supports). Find out about funding opportunities, including allocations for research, piloting, and validation projects.
If this initiative is of interest to you, you can participate by:
- Staying in touch with us on , and spreading the word about opportunities or ideas you have for Western Canada’s EdTech SMEs.
- Joining us for networking sessions and events, including an annual EdTech event that will bring together SMEs, University eLearning researchers, ICT network specialists, and user groups (large companies, K-12, post-secondary, professional development organizations and training firms).
We look forward to hearing from you!
